Join us for the first-ever NCBA Fastpitch All Skills Softball Camp, December 21–22, and experience two days of high-quality instruction designed specifically for softball players ages 8–18.

This exciting new addition to NCBA’s player-development programs will focus on teaching both the basic and advanced fundamentals of hitting, throwing, infield play, outfield play, and base running.

Players will receive detailed, hands-on instruction from an experienced coaching staff in a positive environment that emphasizes skill development, proper fundamentals, confidence, and fun.

The camp will be highly instructional, positive, fun, and safe for all girls, with instruction designed to benefit players across a variety of ages and skill levels.

WHAT CAMPERS WILL LEARN

Throwing & Catching Fundamentals
Learn proper throwing mechanics, arm action, footwork, and catching techniques designed to improve accuracy, consistency, and overall defensive play.

Hitting Mechanics & Drill Work
Develop proper hitting mechanics through focused instruction and drills designed to improve the swing, timing, balance, contact, and overall offensive approach.

Infield Play
Learn the fundamentals necessary to become a more complete infielder, including proper glove position, footwork, arm action, fielding mechanics, and efficient transitions from glove to throw.

Outfield Play
Improve defensive skills through instruction focused on proper drop steps, ball tracking, footwork, arm action, accurate throws, and efficient movement to the softball.

Base Running
Learn proper base running fundamentals, including starts, turns, reads, running technique, and how to become a smarter and more aggressive base runner.

ELITE COACHING STAFF

Players will learn from an experienced coaching staff with backgrounds in professional baseball, college coaching, player development, and fastpitch softball.

The staff will be headlined by Scott Bankhead, a former 10-year Major League Baseball player and two-time USA Baseball National Team Head Pitching Coach.

He will be joined by Nick Black, NCBA’s full-time Assistant Director and a coach with more than 20 years of college coaching experience.

The fastpitch staff will also feature Shane Schumaker, an experienced fastpitch coach and team director who has also served as a college softball head coach.

Additional instruction will be provided by area softball coaches and former players, giving campers the opportunity to learn from a diverse and experienced group of instructors.

TRAIN AT NCBA

Campers will train at the North Carolina Baseball Academy’s 12-acre player-development complex, featuring:

• Three baseball/softball fields
• 17,000-square-foot indoor training facility
• Indoor and outdoor batting cages
• Artificial turf training area
• Camp held rain or shine
