NCBA Elite Summer Catching Camp – Master the Art of Catching!

Position-Specific Training for Elite Catchers!
The Elite Summer Catching Camp is an intensive, highly instructional camp designed to enhance and accelerate your skills behind the plate. This 3-day camp focuses on the key fundamentals of catching, helping players develop the techniques and knowledge needed to dominate at one of the game’s most demanding positions.

What You’ll Learn:

✅ Receiving Mechanics – Improve glove positioning & framing skills
✅ Blocking Techniques – Master body control & ball containment
✅ Footwork & Throwing – Develop a quick, strong release to control the running game
✅ Game Awareness & Leadership – Learn how to manage pitchers & command the field
✅ Video Analysis – Identify strengths & areas for improvement
✅ High Repetition Drills – Gain confidence through focused station work

Location: North Carolina Baseball Academy
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Ages: 8-12 & 13-18 (Grouped by age & skill level)
Tuition: $190 (Non-refundable, includes all instruction & camp t-shirt)

Daily Schedule:

9:00 – 9:05 – Welcome & Agenda Overview
9:05 – 9:30 – Group Instruction & Demonstrations
9:30 – 9:40 – Warm-up, Light Stretch & Catch Play
9:40 – 9:45 – Water Break & Group Assignments
9:45 – 11:55 – Station Work: Receiving, Blocking, Footwork, Throwing & More
💦 Water Breaks included between rotations for hydration
11:55 – 12:00 – Closing Remarks & Dismissal

What to Bring to Camp

Comfortable Dress. Shorts or Baseball Pants (Pants may be preferred as players may want to slide into bases during the games)
Tennis Shoes and Baseball Cleats
Baseball Hat/sunscreen
Any baseball equipment that you would normally bring to a game
Drink is optional. Water will be provided.
Any Snack you may need
Batting Gloves if necessary
Any medicine you may need. See Camp Director if special directions are needed.

Watching the Camp

NC Baseball Academy welcomes parents, grandparents and friends to all our camps to watch your child participate. Our baseball fields have bleachers and plenty of protective fencing to keep you safe. Warning: Sometimes batted balls or thrown balls make their way over these fences so extreme caution should be taken to stay safe at all times. Stay fully behind a fence and enjoy the excitement of watching your ballplayer!
