Tryouts for NCBA’s Golden Spikes will take place on-site at the North Carolina Baseball Academy, ensuring all players are evaluated, rain or shine. Athletes will have the opportunity to showcase their skills across multiple positions.

Open Tryouts for 2026-2028 Graduating Classes
- When: Tryouts are held in June and July for the upcoming season

What to Bring:
- All equipment typically used in a game
- Cleats and turf shoes (both required for different surfaces)

Arrival Instructions:
- Plan to arrive 20-30 minutes early for check-in and warm-ups

Tryout Agenda:
1. Warm-up and Stretch
2. 60-Yard Dash (conducted on the turf track—turf shoes recommended)
3. Throwing Routine (play catch and loosen arms)
4. Infield/Outfield Evaluations (Pro-Style drills)
5. Catcher’s Evaluations (including pop times)
6. Pitcher’s Evaluations (velocity testing)
7. Hitting Evaluations
8. Closing Comments/Player Meeting
